How do Clear Aligners Work?

So how do Clear Aligners work?
Clear aligners work by moving your teeth in small steps to the desired position determined by your orthodontist specialist. Each aligner is developed to fit your mouth at every stage of your treatment plan.
We start by taking a 3D scan of your teeth during one of your initial visits.
Using this 3D scan we are then able to make a set of custom aligners that are made just for you! Each aligner is generally worn for about two weeks at a time as part of your treatment. Be mindful however that this interval may vary depending on your circumstances, and ultimately will vary in accord with the way the orthodontist programs your treatment staging.
As you progress from aligner to aligner your teeth will gradually move in small stages until you finally have a smile that you are happy with. Then you'll be smiling like you never have before!
Because of the discrete nature of Clear Aligner Treatment, these treatments are also commonly called "invisible braces". One of the reasons patients choose clear retainers over braces is that they are much less visible than regular braces.
The only time you need to take out your aligner is when you need to eat, brush and floss your teeth.
This form of treatment uses advanced digital technology and computer aided design to program your set of aligners in advance. As such, rather than coming in to see us every two weeks, we provide you with enough aligners to last for six to eight weeks’ worth of treatment, and sometimes even longer depending on the circumstances.
